NEW Polypropylene Oyster Card Travel Wallet

Made from an environmentally responsible material, and also available in recycled polypropylene.

The Polypropylene Oyster Wallet is new, different and contemporary. It is clean and environmentally sound, tough and very durable. It does not go wrinkly in the sun nor crack in the cold as PVC does. Most Oyster Wallets currently used are made from plasticised PVC, a material that an increasing number of retailers and companies do not consider suitable and are banning completely from use within their organisations.

Print can go from edge to edge, and can bleed off. There is no welding seam along the outer edge as is common with PVC wallets, and can distort print close to the edge.

Ambro are introducing Poly Oyster Wallets to the UK market to meet a need for environmentally friendly materials. Polypropylene is environmentally friendly (see our environmental information in the downloads section,) and is fully recyclable. As a recycled material, it can be used and recycled several times over with little effect on the material quality.

Polypropylene’s durability means that it will easily outlast it’s PVC equivalent. Ambro can supply Oyster Card Wallets made from 80% recycled materials, but with both parts being polypropylene the Oyster Card Wallet, as a product, is fully recyclable.

In all, the Poly Oyster Wallets are a very interesting and welcome newcomer to the Oyster Scene. It has a contemporary image that is sorely missing from the PVC alternative.
